Meet Jenna
Maile Bloom is Jenna Yazdani. It started as a way to make heartfelt, personal gifts for her friends: a shell from a day at the beach, a color that reminded her of someone, set into something they could wear. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being just gift-making. She realized it was what she loved doing most, and she wanted to share that expression of the islands with the wider community.
Every piece is still made the same way, by hand on Maui, a few at a time. The shells and sand in each design are sourced locally in Hawai‘i.

Made to be worn
Every piece is poured in resin and left to cure completely before it is finished. Fully cured resin becomes a hard, stable, glass-like material that is inert and considered safe for everyday skin contact, with no tackiness and no smell. Each shell and grain of sand is sealed inside, the edges are finished smooth in a gold-tone setting, and every pair is checked by hand before it is packed.
Maile is a fragrant Hawaiian vine traditionally woven into lei.

- Do you sell wholesale to shops?
- Yes. Maile Bloom works with boutiques across the Hawaiian islands and on the mainland. Email for a line sheet.
- How long does a wholesale order take?
- Most wholesale orders are ready to ship within 2–3 weeks of confirmation, because every piece is poured, cured and finished by hand. Larger orders or designs made just for your shop can take a little longer, and you'll get a firm ship date when you order.
- What are the pieces made from?
- Each piece is made from clear resin, shells and sand sourced locally in Hawai‘i, set in gold-tone settings with gold-tone ear wires. If you have a metal sensitivity, mention it in your inquiry.
- How should I care for my piece?
- Take your earrings off before swimming, showering or the hot tub, since salt water and chlorine dull the finish. Put on sunscreen, lotion, perfume and hairspray first and let them dry before wearing. Keep pieces out of long direct sun and high heat, like a car dashboard, which can yellow or soften resin over time. Wipe clean with a soft cloth, lightly damp with mild soap if needed, and dry right away; avoid alcohol and jewelry cleaners. Store each pair on its own, away from sunlight, so the resin doesn't scratch.
